Show your real calendar

Pellet’s calendar shows your tasks. It can also show the meetings you actually have, so you’re not planning a day’s work against a calendar you can’t see.

This is off until you turn it on. Nothing is connected by default.

What you can connect

Google Calendar — Settings → Calendar sync. Google requires every app to bring its own credentials, so this involves creating a free “Desktop app” client in Google Cloud and pasting it in. Fiddly once, then done. Desktop only.

Apple / iCloud — Settings → Calendar sync. Sign in with your Apple ID and an app-specific password (you create one at appleid.apple.com; it’s not your real password). No Google Cloud rigmarole.

Any subscribed calendar — Settings → ICS feeds. Paste an https:// or webcal:// address: public holidays, a sports fixture list, a shared team calendar. Read-only, never written back.

What it does

• Overlay — events appear alongside tasks in the Calendar view.
• Push tasks across — optionally, tasks with a date show up in a calendar you choose, so colleagues see you’re busy.
• Two-way editing — with Google and iCloud you can create, edit and delete real events from inside Pellet.
• Meeting links — Zoom, Meet, Teams and Webex links are pulled out of the event text and put on a button, instead of you hunting through a description.
• Event notes — attach a note to a meeting for what was actually said.

Reminders

Separate lists for timed events and all-day ones — say, ten minutes before a meeting, and 9am the day before something all-day. Configure these whether or not you push tasks across.

If you’re offline

Changes queue up and go out when you’re back. Nothing is lost because you edited an event on a train.

What it will never do

Pellet doesn’t expose your calendar to the automation API. An AI agent working on your vault can read your notes and tasks; it cannot see or touch your calendar accounts.
